MORNING AIR LIVE WITH JOHN HARPER ON RELEVANT RADIO

As we enter Lent and consider a return to being more diligent to reading and reflecting on scripture, the simple age-old tradition of Lectio Divina (explained in detail here) offers an easy blueprint.

The four-step process of Reading, Meditating, Praying, and Contemplating a small bite-sized portion of scripture has been practiced in the Church since Origen in the 3rd Century.  We are in good company with saints such as Benedict and Jerome, who was known to have been radically transformed through his solitude with scripture.

Listen Here to the live radio show with John Harper on Relevant Radio’s Morning Air Program, and join me in admiring and participating in this beautiful method of prayer.

I’ve never fully understood Lwctio Divina, so i’m grateful for your explanations over the past week.

Lectio Divina = fine wine and a decadent dessert! You are speaking my language! This is such a great conversation to have – many people do not know what Lectio Divina is, so thank you for discussing!
