It’s the feast of the Guardian Angels, so let’s celebrate!
Looking for a quick and easy rainy day project to do with young kids and toddlers? Perhaps even a tiny theological lesson tied in there too? Have I got just the thing for you! A rainy day that began with a bit of chaos, called for a creative project in the worst way! So, we cleaned up the packing peanuts and convinced two little angels, that a guardian angel project would be more fun and apropos.
What You Need:
- A rectangle of colorful fabric
- Fiberfill Pillow Stuffing
- Tulle Fabric
- A few inches of elastic or ribbon
- Scissors and Markers
Begin by cutting a rectangle of fabric.
Turn it upside down and place a ball of stuffing in the center.
Pinch the fabric together under the ball of stuffing (head of angel.)
Wrap a strip of tulle around the neck of the angel, for wings.
Tie the elastic or ribbon around the neck, on top of the tulle, in an X (as shown.)
Use a marker to draw on the angel’s face.
Here are our guardian angels! We put them under our pillows to remind us that our angels are always with us, and to say our guardian angel prayer every day. We hope you do to!
